The local and Cloud boundaries
Pentimo Desktop can capture, search, read, and export your coding-agent sessions without a Pentimo account. Its archive is stored on your device. Signing in does not upload that archive. Upload begins only after you separately review and enable Cloud sync, including the sources and spaces you choose.
Cloud content is encrypted in transit and at rest, but it is provider-readable and is not end-to-end encrypted. Do not enable Cloud sync for content you are not permitted to upload.
Information we handle
- Account information, such as your email address, authentication records, organization context, and active session information.
- Billing information, such as subscription status, plan, renewal period, Stripe customer relationship, and payment-event identifiers. Complete card details are handled by Stripe, not Pentimo.
- Cloud content you explicitly sync or share, including selected source artifacts, sessions, messages, commands, file paths, project metadata, machine identifiers, and search data derived from that content.
- Operational data needed to run and secure the service, such as IP-level request data, app version, upload status, service logs, and error or crash reports when error reporting is configured.
- Support messages and the contact information you use to reach us.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate accounts, provide the features you request, operate subscriptions, secure and troubleshoot the service, respond to support, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable obligations. Pentimo does not ship product analytics. Error reporting, when configured, is limited to errors and crashes and is designed to remove archive-derived and user-controlled fields before transmission.
Service providers
Pentimo relies on service providers to operate the public site and Cloud service. These include Cloudflare for website delivery, WorkOS for Cloud authentication, Stripe for subscriptions and payments, Amazon Web Services for Cloud infrastructure and storage, and Sentry for configured error and crash reporting. They process information under their own service terms and privacy commitments while providing services to Stack Shuttle Limited.
Retention and deletion
Your local archive remains on your device unless you choose the explicit local archive deletion flow. Uninstalling Pentimo does not silently delete the archive. User-created exports remain wherever you saved them.
Pentimo does not currently promise a fixed automatic retention period for Cloud account data. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of Cloud account data, email [email protected]. We will confirm the request's scope, including data that remains on your devices or in user-created exports, and any records that must be retained for security, billing, dispute, or legal purposes.
